La Pizza Italia

Owner was awesome, great energy and very nice. Sauce was a bit off, cheese and pepperoni was a bit low quality. Not going to knock your socks off but it also won't make you upset eating it. Could be cheaper. Just a solid 6.2, 6.5 if you take into account good ownership.

Crispy crust with some char so it was cooked well. Not too thick or thin. But the cheese slice had bland sauce. And the basil buffalo mozzarella was too sweet. The balance was off. Best combo was the cheese pizza with some of the sauce from the other slice. I always wonder how our best pizza slices in LA stack up and was expecting a lot more out of NYC but appreciate the late night eats option. Wouldn't seek it out but could eat again. They have a lot of other slices and next time I'd try the grandma with vodka sauce.

Spicy honey pepperoni slice

Not sure why there was such high google reviews. Greasier than the slice from along came Polly. Pretty doughy and messy. Not terrible but not that great

Floppy, but like the sauce and decent crust. Little less cheese and a little crispier would improve the slice
