Lazzara's Pizza Cafe

Just so happened we were picking up bagels at Liberty Bagels Midtown and I decided to plug Lazzara’s into the gps and was like 5 blocks away so I ordered a cheese pie. Perfect timing, and when I arrived to pick it they were pulling this little gem out of the oven, perfect timing. Well it would be worth the drive from anywhere in the 5 boroughs if not farther. Talk about thin! Super thin, great crust, no flop, good char on the edges of the crust. Not traditional obviously, not quite Grandma style. Really, really good, maybe a touch heavy on the sauce if I had to find something. I reall would like to go back and have dinner there. The lunch crowd was rolling in 11:30, opening is then, 11:30. If you’re in Midtown, do it. 8.8, that’s a review
