Leopoldo’s Pizza – 7.5/10 Leopoldo’s NYC Pizza in downtown Carrollton scores a 7.5/10 for its fantastic location right on the Square, great ambiance, and warm service. The Food: Ordered a traditional cheese pizza. The char on the crust was fantastic, though it could have been a little crisper on the bite. The Vibe: Wonderful atmosphere that makes it a great spot to gather with family or friends and make memories. The Service: The server was exceptionally friendly and hospitable from start to finish.

To me this is a late night pizza spot to get after a night of beers. I forgot to ask for the pie to be extra done as flop can be a concern. The wood fire grill does give the dough a nice undercarriage if that’s your thing. I like the wood fire wings here maybe more than the pizza.

In no way a Neapolitan Pizza! It is not Puffy, Crispy or well done like I asked for. I should have read the reviews before we ordered but I was trying to support a local small business. Won’t happen again. I can see why they don’t respond to the reviews!

Fresh ingredients and wicked good char from the brick oven, but massive flop. They tighten that up and easily in the 8.1 range
