Lillo's Tomato Pies

Definitely underwhelmed, best way to put it. I can see how this could be a great pie, and I’m going off the assumption I got a bad one - however I rated it as it deserved. Cheese was fine, nothing special. Sauce was very good, the taste was there. Crust however was where I was disappointed, usually love a good burnt bottom, but not to the point where I need to break it like a cracker. At times it felt as though it was a platter of sauce and cheese sitting on top of a hard burnt cracker. I’ll be back and I think it’s going to be much better, businesses have good and bad days along with good and bad pies. All love to Lilo’s!

Ordered a 1/2 tomato pie and 1/2 sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom. Sauce was terrific. Cheese was perfect and the crust was crispy with the right amount of ash underneath. This place slaps hard. Highly recommend

One of the best pizza I’ve ever had the sauce is top notch the crust is perfect. The cheese is perfect. this pizza is definitely worth a drive. It can be very easy to underestimate this place because it’s like on the side of the road small place(compared to your average pizza store) but they do have place to sit down and eat comfortably.

Crispy crust, tasty and tangy fresh tomato sauce. Honestly, just a really really great slice. Not too much cheese and great taste. Amazingly it felt light. Definitely try the chicken parm garlic knot sliders too.

Like with Papa’s Tomato Pie in Robbinsville Twp, NJ, the sauce is what drives the score into the 8’s. Sauce was sweet with a hint of garlic. Nice cheese to sauce ratio, good flavor on quality cheese. I think the crust flavor falls short or Papa’s, but very close and worth the drive!

Pizza was really good but the service is probably the worst I’ve ever experienced. The bigger Italian chick leaves a lot to be desired. Her miserable mood set the tone for our family dinner. Considering we went out of way for this I’d never go back. The cheesesteak isn’t even close to a Philly cheesesteak so do t waste your time with that junk!

The more I ate the worse the score got. Probably wont eat it again. The sauce tasted like it was store bought, the dough was bland and the cheese was rubbery. It is definitely not worthy of a score above 7 and if it was ever a 8.4, now it is no longer the case.

This is one of my favorite stops when traveling to NJ. I usually go for their famous cheesesteaks but today I had the opportunity to try their tomato pie. I was BLOWN AWAY!! This is a must try!!
