Pizza Review
11 Hours to fly across the United States. A car rental, bridge, and toll road, and yes worth every penny. This by far has to be the best experience I’ve personally had. The family/staff that work at Lillo’s are amazing. Never have I experienced such courtesy this is beyond customer service this is being treated as you are sharing their dinner table. The pizza is at a level I have never experienced and am unable describe my delight. If you travel across our great country for pie and they serve a cheese steak well…… why not get both. As someone who has tried cheese steaks across Philly this was the best cheese steak I’ve ever had. That cheese sauce is so spot on. But what I was a amazed by was not on single nibble of gristle. Every bit was delicious the perfect steak, the perfect bread, and that amazing cheese sauce. Thank you for such a memorable experience and sharing your table with me tonight. This was a special treat for me. My daughter is excited beyond words for her T-shirt. I can’t wait to dig in to my left overs for breakfast.

Pizza Review
🏆HALL OF FAME PIZZA ALERT🏆 🍅BEST TOMATO PIE ALERT🍅 🚨BEST OF NEW JERSEY ALERT🚨 Opened in 2021 with the help of Donny Azzaro, who brought the original recipe from Papa’s Tomato Pies in Robinsville, NJ, bringing Trenton style tomato pies to South Jersey, Lillo’s is becoming a rising star, not just among tomato pie pizzerias, but in the entire Garden State pizza game. Among tomato pies, I’ve had DeLorenzo’s (very good) and I’ve tried Papa’s (great); but Lillo’s (spectacular) takes pizza to another level. Starting with the unique dough, it’s incredibly firm, a fantastic base for the somewhat heavy ingredients, particularly the weighty tomato sauce. With more of a golden crisp than blackened char, the dough is moderately crunchy & terrifically tasty, to go along with a crust that packs a modest amount of crunch. Creamy in some areas but mostly tight across the surface, the cheese is very light, playing second fiddle to the featured tomato sauce, as it should. Hugging the dough underneath the sauce, the delectable mozzarella blend is placed in upside down pie fashion, smattered atop parts of the crust as well. The subtle but outstanding flavor of the mozz allows the tomato sauce to flourish. Speaking of the sensational star of the pie, the scintillatingly sweet & astounding sauce is hearty & chunky, zesty & zingy, delightful & delicious, with a robust tangy, sugary & saccharine flavor that shines in the best possible way. Obviously similar to Papa’s tomato sauce, but somehow better, the sauce alone gets a 9.7 score. Located in the middle of nowhere New Jersey, on the outskirts of Philadelphia & roughly 2 hours from NYC, this spot is going to become legendary destination pizza. An unbelievable feast of the senses, this is a must-try pie, with out-of-this-world taste & top-notch texture. Overall, this is the best tomato pie I’ve ever had & one of the best pizzas in all of New Jersey. Plan a pilgrimage to South Jerz & come see for yourself. (Side note: I’m told their cheesesteaks are some of the best outside Philly 🧀 🥩)
