Linda's New York Pizzeria

Sad because i had some hope for this place, but it was just too bland. The dough was crispy, very, very thin, and i seen they had a few cans of Stanislaus Tomato sauce, so i had a lot of hope, but it fell short. This place is located right on the border of a sketchy ass neighborhood too, so be careful. I think you’re fine during the day, but I wouldnt come here after dark by myself. Somebody is getting shot on Lyell Ave every other day, and twice on Sundays.

Averaging a 6.9 and advertising as New York pizza, at $2.75 a slice let’s break this down. The dough. Super light and crispy with just a small amount of char. It’s as fresh and light as you can get. The sauce, lackluster. Keeping the pizza light by not putting too much sauce, safe move but here it’s not enough. What I can taste is a heavy hand of parsley but that’s really trying hard to analyze this sauce. The cheese, flavorless, pre shredded, and not melted enough. They DID re deck the slice but not long enough to make it hot. The dough is awesome but the sauce and cheese are holding back an easy 8 plus score.

Slightly better than average

Crust is star. Sauce is tangy. Cheese is kind of tasteless. Better cheese and this is over 7 which in my reviews, a damn good slice. Enjoy. It’s good pizza.
