Not sure how it took me this long to get here but if you tell me over century old coal fired oven actually over 130 years old, I’m there. What started out as a bread oven turned into making pizza for over 80 years in a little spot on the side of the road is the stuff of legend because this pie has it all. Well done with great charring and flavor from being so well seasoned in. The sauce is abundant and rich aided by the dusting of grated cheese really the highlight of this one I think. Followed closely is the cheese, bubbly and loaded with the Connecticut zing that all the top places have and the perfect ratio to the rest of the pie. It held its heat to the point the last slice was still burning my mouth and was easily crushable with some Foxon Park soda. The place itself is a step back in time from walking in to down to the oven and the overall ambiance inside. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and willing to talk about the history of the place making the 4 hour trip to get here more than worth it, also cash only so you know this is gonna be a killer spot!!! Absolute Legend
