Lo Duca Pizza

Ohoho big score alert. I don’t hand out big scores that often but for Lo Duca I’m going high. I don’t know why it’s not talked about it with the other greats. But that conversation starts now. The perfect Brooklyn pie right here. Crispy, sauce is hearty, and big boy slice. If the neighborhood didn’t look like a scene out of Gotham I think more ppl would frequent. But for me Lo Duca is right up there with the great pies of Brooklyn. It’s a top 5 pizzeria of the Borough. This pizza is so good I now think Paul Lo Duca is the best Mets catcher of all time. Also during the PorkBoy’s review some homeless guy said it was the best pizza arounddddd, and your guys boy snark at him. Well that homeless fuck that definitely hangs guys underneath the boardwalk in Coney was right. He’s a pizza genius and I am here to redeem him.

Hands down the best slice I’ve had in NY!

My favorite local place for an upside down pie.

Huge flop. Pretty greasy. Great crust. Sauce is a lil boring but has a nice tang. Very good cheese and amount of cheese.

If not for this app, I would never have found this place, but boy is it really good. The pizza was super crispy and had no flop at all. The cheese and sauce were very good as well. The only negative thing was probably the amount of grease, but it doesn’t dock the score. Overall, a very good slice.

A little floppy but fresh quality ingredients.

Definition of the quintessential NY slice. Great crisp on the undercarriage with a little bit of char action and not doughy what so ever. It’s a cheese heavy slice as most plains are but has some good flavor with a nice amount of herbs tasted. The sauce is not abundant but is evenly tasted throughout the slice and over all had great flavor.

This score is for the square slice. Fantastic dough and great flavor. I’d probably say arguably top 5 square I’ve had in NYC. Regular slice was good. A little greasy and nice browning on the bottom from the brick oven. I’d go 7.6 on the regular.

Regular cheese slice is solid but I think the hot ticket there is the Upside Down Sicilian; easy 9 on that slice.

I’ve had this slice twice now. Great cheese and fresh sauce, but the second time I got a slice it had that Brooklyn flop that completely took the tip of the slice right off. Easy 8.3 without it but had to take off points

Great sauce and no flop. Delicious!!

Good crisp, good cheese, good sauce to cheese ratio, but only average sauce. It is an overall solid slice of pizza. But I don’t know how prez got into the eights on this one. It’s fairly run-of-the-mill, though it certainly is a good slice.

This is my 2nd time trying them. The first time was much better actually. Today the regular was super floppy falling all over the place and both slices were super oily & greasy. Still hits 7 because of that other visit. They must have their days

Classic NY slice. Great crust and seasoning. Sauce could use some more tang. But great classic thin crust

Used to live down here before I was a pizza guy and kicking myself for only going once.

This is a pizza lovers’ pizza. Classic pizza. Would eat this every day after school if I still went to school in Brooklyn. Football game? Lo Duca. Movie night? Lo Duca. This was astounding.
