Lombardi's New York Pizza & Wings

In Manhattan, this would be in the legit 7s. The fact that you can get this pizza in Evansville, Indiana, bumps it up to an 8.1. Reminds me of a lighter Joe’s. Possibly the best pizza in Evansville. Good light crisp, can taste all the ingredients. Fresh, not too greasy. It’s legit.

Nice char on the bottom. Good crisp bite. Hot. A more powerful sauce would have put it in the 8s

Solid NY style pizza. Good tang, good texture on the bottom/crust. I ate a lot of east coast pizza while hiking the Appalachian trail and this stacks up with places I’ve been to in NY/NJ/PA. It’s definitely a good change of pace from the usual Midwest thin crust you find at places like Turoni’s or Kipplees. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s better than those places it’s just a different style. I also only tried it by the slice. I want to try it again buying a whole pizza.

One bite everyone knows the rules. Good pizza overall. Bottom of the crust was a little burnt, but that may be New York style. Good sauce and cheese. Overall a very good pizza.

If you want legit NY style pizza in what seems like the bullshit thin cracker pizza crust capital of the world this is the place. Crust is thin, but not cracker like that seems to be the norm in this area. Tangy sauce, ZERO flop. If I was scoring regionally, this would jump to the 9’s easily.
