This is an Italian marketplace and restaurant with a pizza bar. They call their pizza “artisanal” mainly cause it’s made by hand; but this is really just very large, 18” football pizza. Big, thick, doughy, cheesy, heavy, traditional, circular football pizza to be exact. I did not particularly care for the cheese blend which seems to be a mixture of shredded mozzarella with almost a cheddar-like, atypical flavor. Aesthetically, it looks like a regular pizza cheese blend with an orange tinge from the overflow of oil and grease. I found the flavor of the cheese to be rather off-putting, below average quality and taste. The dough is thick, firm and bland, divided into massive slices, each as filling as a loaf of bread. The crust isn’t crispy, nor is it especially soft; it’s just of dull texture and taste. As for the sauce, it gets lost in the funky flavor purveying from the cheese, completely overwhelming the taste of the sauce. The abnormal cheese flavor and excess oil both neutralize what little taste I could gather from the sauce. I expected this to be an average-to-above average football pizza. With extremely disappointing taste and a firm but not particularly crispy texture, this is nothing more than thick, filling, heavy, large, sub-standard football pizza.
