This joint replaced Cabrina’s, which was a solid 7.0 pie for $10, tremendous bang for the buck. This pizza is very similar but a lot greasier and more expensive. Mamma Mia’s charges $14.92 as an homage to when Columbus sailed the ocean blue and also charges a $1 credit card fee, which is weak as hell. Somehow, this large plain pie cost me $15.99, which is ridiculous for an average pizza. The sauce & cheese are very basic, not bad, not great, a notch above generic. The dough is rather firm, medium thickness, fairly tasty with a doughy but crispy crust. The excess grease keeps the pie from rating in the 7s and renders the overall score just a touch below the pizzeria it replaced. This isn’t bad pizza, but it’s nothing special. There are definitely cheaper and better pizzerias in the area.
