In the Air Force just moved to NJ And saw Dave’s review the other day. So we had to try it. Man was he right some of the best pizza I’ve had in a while. I went into Marcello didn’t see the pizza you had on menu so I told waiter I want the pizza dave had and they made it! We’ll be back!

For coal fired pizza, this place definitely holds its own. We tried three different pies, caprese, shroom, and tomato pie(not in picture). All three had great flavor and just on appearance alone; you can tell that Marcellos takes pride in their craft as they use fresh ingredients, including housemade mozzerella. A slight flop when approaching the middle of the pie, but overall, the quality of the pizza outshines this small downside. The restaurant itself offers a cozy atmosphere where new meets old with the ability to support any occasion: date night, father-son late night meal, celebration event, or in our case, a break in a four hour drive from Maryland. This app is for pizza reviews, but it is worth mentioning that Marcellos other menu items, including appetizers, pastas, and specialty entrees, add delicious diversity for those seeking more than just pizza. Marcellos is definitely worth a 30-45 minute drive.

A bit too we’ll done. Crunchy. Nicely thin. Taste of sauce, cheese and crust all unremarkable. Overall combination of ingredients and preparation competent. A bit too much cheese in the middle. Outside of the pizza which is not a consideration for the score is killer drink, great atmosphere, excellent pasta and exceptional salad. Great date night, all foods good but if you are deadly serious about pizza this is not for you.

The pizza I had was an Old Fashioned Brooklyn Tomato Pie Thin Crust Square. This style of pizza is not my favorite. However, I still really liked it! It had a nice crisp and a very good tang.

Thin with perfect crust and great sauce. Little less basil and oil and this jumps to 8.6.

Pizza was good!Sauce and cheese super fresh and tastes great. Crust was crisp, no flop, and a distinctively delicious taste. Marcello's gets an 8.4 from me.

The “Old Fashioned Brooklyn Tomato Thin Crust.” This is the perfect style of pizza for me. Great cheese and crust, sauce is above average but not spectacular. On the high end overall.

Best gluten-free pie I’ve ever had. Ok, the toppings help but only seems fair to level the field. July 2020

Slightly disappointing. Middle was super floppy. Sauce was a little too tangy for me. Decent pizza but was expecting excellent especially for 23 dollars.

Great coal fired pie. Sauce needs a little more tang. Overall it’s pretty damn good.

Going with a flat 8 here... It’s good, but the take out scenario didn’t help things.. May have to redo the review and eat in next time..
