Matthew's Pizza

Definitely a decent pizza. No flop, bottom is well cooked, crust is great (coming from a guy that normally hates crust), cheese is just right. Definitely the best place that will deliver to my house. I will say that the bread is very different than most places, not bad at all, just different .. but its really good.

Way too cheesy with an awkward thickness. The uniqueness saved it from being a total catastrophe. Inside the building they have a great ambience.

One of Baltimore’s favorite, a unique style. Personal plate-sized. Always good sauce and cheese flavor. A little crisp of the outer crust but the bottom crust is a little soft for my liking.

The crust is really great; the perfect crisp without being crunchy and flavorless. The cheese is solid as well. However, I think I wanted a bit more flavor from the sauce. Overall, this is a very good pie from a landmark spot in Baltimore.

Really interesting little pie here, super well done too but light and fluffy crust and bottom. If the undercarriage was a little more crispy it could be in the 8s

Pan pizza with a lot of grease; cooked well. Decent crunch. I ordered mine with mozzarella cheese as opposed to reggianito, but apparently, it’s better with both.

Crust 10 Sauce 7 Cheese 7 My 3 scores average out to and eight but I gave it an extra .5 just because this place is a baltimore landmark. The crab pizza is amazing the crust is by far the best crust I've ever had anywhere. I've had all the pizzas sold at the place so I know the sauce is very good and the Cheese is solid as well. For the people that say this is taste like pizza hut you just don't know pizza or if you say this isn't my kind of pizza then why even try it or give a review. Hand down one of the best deep dish anywhere.....

Solid pizza in Baltimore. Thicker crust, caramelized cheese has a Detroit style feel to it. Crab pizza was definitely the highlight for me, and preferred margherita to pepperoni. Overall a very good pizza experience.

Here we go with the legendary matthews pizza. Sauce is super fresh the cheese is not too heavy out greasy. Crust is awesome nice and buttery. Great pizza.

Deep dish pies, thick, pretty greasy and good. 7.4 for Crab pizza, 7.2 for the Margherita.

The BEST pizza you can possibly get in Baltimore. Locals know what is up when it comes to Matthews Pizza. The low reviews are probably from out of towners who don’t know what a good pizza is because they are used to sub par joints in their small town. Ask ANY Baltimore local and they will recommend Matthews Pizza

This is a Chicago style deep dish pizza joint from the 1940’s. I love deep dish pizza. The 4 cheese pizza at Matthew’s is my favorite pizza in Baltimore. Delicious crispy & charred crust. Excellent cheeses, excellent sauce. Most of the time it’s a little too greasy, but it’s still excellent.

Extremely fresh. Bland sauce. Well cooked. Missing some spices.

Bar pizza. Greasy as fuck. Zero flop. It’s like a personal pan from PizzaHut.

Not for everyone, especially if you’re looking for a traditional NY slice. But overall a very good slice. Solid 7.6
