A good step above the west coast. First stop on our holy trinity tour. Good pepperoni - also went with the eggplant - which is a parm style - very nice.

This was the best in New Haven in our opinion. Life doesn’t get much better than this!

Modern is my choice for #1 overall New Haven’t apizza joint. Has a whole lot of char on the bottom from the oil-fired oven. Best cheese of any of the heavy hitters. Sausage is incredible much like Zuppardi’s. The muzz is great as well.

Excellent New Haven pie. One of the big 3. A bit chewier than Pepe's but worth it 10/10 times.

No flop. Char on the bottom. Mozz is perfect. Very little sauce.

Very cheesy and delicious. A little on the greasy side could have been cooked for a few more minutes but it was good. Definitely worth the trip.

Modern Apizza that was a great experience where the food was amazing. The ingredients were very fresh and portions were generous.

Mozzarella here was easily the best by far out of the holy trinity of places. Franks has the best crust, sally has the best sauce, and Modern has the best cheese all around. This one wins.

What pizza should be!!! Super tangy sauce!! Stupid crispy crust!! Charred up just perfectly!! Didn’t disappoint and was absolutely delicious!!!

Got the traditional mozzarella. Very good pie, tastes like they used part skim cheese not as flavorful as whole milk so a little knock there. Dough is great and baked to a perfect new haven style

Solid asss slice. Great after it cooled off. It was a little less greasy. Fantastic pizza
