Modern Apizza

Driving thru from Florida figure we placed an order at Sally and the pick up time was 1:30 hrs away might has well go try Modern ! Great pie , great service ! Worth the stop -NS

Perfect balance between New Haven & New York style.Right up there with the best in the world. Modern and Sally’s are the top 2 in my opinion. These spots are neck and neck. Can’t go wrong. 90 year old coal oven. YouTube - Johnsies Food Corner

Very quick take out service, crust was amazing but the pizza itself was nothing special

Very good pizza although not as good as I was expecting. Crust is exceptional and the cheese is also very good. The sauce is not very flavorful though. I liked this much better than Pepe’s but not as much as Sally’s.

Great undercarriage. Minimal flop. Pizza gets better as you keep eating, crazy good.

Not as special as I was hoping. On the salty side. Good chew on the crust. Overall more similar to a NY slice.

Top notch cheese, this cheese on the top of some of the top notch Long Island pies would be off the charts

Modern feels a lot more like a place the locals would frequent. Broader menu, simple pie, shorter line. I really enjoyed the pizza. It wasn’t a show stopper but it was good.

My favorite New Haven pizza & also from the trinity. Whenever I get New Haven of Peace I always get the same topping combo,Roni, Sausage,Onions, Mushrooms & Cherry Peppers. Opposed to most New Haven Apizza using coal & Modern has an oil oven,Amazing Flavor. I like the fact that Modern still is Independent, without multiple locations in franchising. Not that I am complaining about Pepe's and Sally's. I've had great pies in other location, but t's makes Modern standout for those two reasons.

Really liked the flavor of this! The dough/bread almost tastes sweet to me. Loved that this is apizza without being burnt
