Finally, a good pizza in this god forsaken world! The Connecticut pizza scene is apparently banging and I’m happy we tried Modern over some mixed reviews lately of Sally’s. Good char, crunch, and not too much flop. A solid 8.6 from me. You’d like this pizza if you have been desperately searching for good pizza and repeatedly are being let down. Definitely would recommend.

This pie had some of the best mozz I’ve ever tasted. Crust was NY style and perfectly charred in a 90 year old brick oven. This place will see me again.

Went here 10 days after going to Sally’s and I have to say I was blown away at how much better Modern was to Sally’s. The crust, the sauce, the cheese all simply amazing. I’m not much for the clam pie but my wife had one at both places and she said the Modern pizza had more and richer tasting garlic, better char on the crust, and fresher tasting clams. She was happy at Sally’s but said Modern was the best pizza she had ever had.

Was told this is the best of the big 3, still not totally convinced but wow was the cheese solid. Great undercarriage, crisp, and cheese. Not much sauce but as a result the slices are thin and ideal.
