Very good, it’s world class. Cheese has more funk than Sally’s or Pepe. I don’t think the dough is special but the sauce and cheese are top notch. Just know the cheese is not subtle. The tomato pie without mozzarella has a strong cheese flavor that overpowers the sauce. Bonus review- pepperoni is perfect. 8.6 In the words of Michael Jack Schmidt, Phillies third baseman and member of the 500 home run club, “That’s a fine play.” In all seriousness, I was very impressed. Giants fans stone cold mortally forbidden to go here.

This pie had some of the best mozz I’ve ever tasted. Crust was NY style and perfectly charred in a 90 year old brick oven. This place will see me again.

Went here 10 days after going to Sally’s and I have to say I was blown away at how much better Modern was to Sally’s. The crust, the sauce, the cheese all simply amazing. I’m not much for the clam pie but my wife had one at both places and she said the Modern pizza had more and richer tasting garlic, better char on the crust, and fresher tasting clams. She was happy at Sally’s but said Modern was the best pizza she had ever had.

Was told this is the best of the big 3, still not totally convinced but wow was the cheese solid. Great undercarriage, crisp, and cheese. Not much sauce but as a result the slices are thin and ideal.
