No St.Louis cheese here, thank goodness. What a COOL place in the middle of a suburban area in the basement of what looks to be someone’s house. Great vib! This pizza was cracker thin with a nice balance of ingredients. Another plus for me was the little bit of burnt cheese on the edges, and the cornmeal on the bottom of the crust. I would absolutely go back here again when in St. Louis.

Goddamn Frankie… How’d you miss this one? Thin crust stl style but somehow still thicker than Imos Pizza. Perfect amount of cheese without having to pay for more. Fresh dough. Fresh ingredients.

I ordered a large meat lover's with half pineapple from monte bello. It's a peculiar place, located in the basement of a small house, with no windows and a ceiling only a few inches over my head. The pizza cost about $29, which i find very expensive considering it was a thin crust. The pizza looked good, but had a strange taste, which i found was the crust. Without the crust it tastes great. The crust also had seasoning on the bottom of it, which makes your hands dirty while eating. The crust was also floppy, and the toppings were under the cheese, meaning everything was sliding off the crust. Overall messiest pizza I ever ate. Not the worst pizza, but definitely not worth the money.

Good pizza. Little greasy little floppy but still a good pie. The vibe of the place is on point and impressive to see people lined up against the wall in a basement waiting for a table. Cokes were flat so I’d recommend a beer.

What began as a trip down a sketchy street, down into a basement dining room, and preceded with mid appetizer was punctuated with a VERY fresh original StL style pizza. The crust was crisp, the sauce was even and substantial, and the toppings- very fresh. Would have traded a bit of cheese for a bit of sauce. Each was a 1-of a kind original. THATS a review!

Got this coming home from Jack’s STL travel tourney. Found this place a total dive place in a neighborhood basement but going on strong since 1950. Had a crazy wait time but all in all I enjoyed the experience. STL thin crust (cornmeal) and it was good..not great but good. Cheese and sauce were good and I can see why this pizza gets a lot of good scores. But I’ve had a lot of good thin/tavern thin style pizzas and while this is very good I would still have this a notch or two below some of the others I’ve had in the past. But I would definitely eat here again and it’s a good choice in the STL area.

The ultimate St Louis pizza experience! A true pizza dive that’s located in the basement of a suburban Lemay, Mo building. Call ahead so you don’t have to wait for hours. Pizza is very thin and very tasty and unique in that the cheese used is a blend, not 100% provel like most StL style pies. Love the sauce too!

Probably the best St. Louis style pizzas I’ve had

This is my favorite STL style pizza. Crust is crispy thin very light and the cheese is a perfect blend.

I can't put my finger on it but something makes this unique to other STL style pizzas. Very good. We got two pizzas and one was a tad overdone. Maybe a little more sauce but still very good.

Good crust, awesome sauce, sausage was killer. Ask them to leave it in the oven a little longer.

I dig the cornmeal in the crust; crust is a little more chewy than I prefer. Edges are crispy though. Pretty solid za.

Good cheese, toppings were not bad, crust had decent crisp. Kids had a pepperoni pizza and I would give that a higher score than what I had.

Traditional cheese and one of their signature pies the “Johnny Be Good” both very good. You can taste the quality in the cheese they use. Only negative is that it was a bit on the oily side. Overall great St. Louis style pizza.
