Pizza was on the smaller side (one size available). Probably a medium size pizza if ordered from another spot. Sauce to cheese ratio was good. The crust was a little too crunchy/thin in my opinion. Overall, decent pizza joint.

Solid bar pie. Was in the area decided to try the holy Grail. Good sauce, crisp and cheese. Very little grease

Half pepperoni and sausage.... It appears they took a fully cooked pie, added toppings, and cooked again...Dry and overcooked...Stick to the plain, much better (7.7)

I can see why Dave loves bar pies. This was thin, light and had a hearty flavor but didn’t have the most crisp.

Great pizza, the pepper one on top is by far my favorite. Great flavoring and sauce, crunchy crust and little to NO flop. I do not understand why Dave Portnoy gave this place a 10/10 while some other places in my opinion that are better only 7-8/10.

I have friends on the north shore and this is roughly an hour-twenty or so from home. Well worth it. We don’t have this kind of pie where I live and would absolutely go out of my way to pick this up. Love the cash-only, pizza and sandwich for less than 25 Bucks.

I may be giving too low of a score here, but I was not impressed by the pizza. The place was cool, and the staff were super nice, but I was fighting a lot of ants when I was sitting at the bar. As far as taste of the pizza... sauce and cheese were pretty bland, but I loved the crust a lot. Great crunch! Pizza was easy to eat and went down quick, but at the end of the day, it just tasted like a decent frozen pizza. Bet the pizza tastes amazing when you're wasted, though!

went there today. Drove all the way from New Hampshire so almost an hour each way. I requested that my cheese pizza be cooked the same way that Dave ordered but what I should've said is that please make sure that you cook the crust more and make sure that it has some Char to it. It was not cooked underneath at all .Im scoring it a 7.8 and had it come out like I was hoping for the flavor was great and if it had the crispness/crunch it probably would have been low 9's. By the way, I think I know good pizzas a grew up in New Haven county in Connecticut and spent a lot of time eating at Modern Apizza, and Sally's and Pepe's - the originals on Wooster St

PizzaMoon stop 2. We came here by Portnoy’s 10. Unfortunately we traveled all this way for what we will undoubtedly rate a 6.6. Not a lot of flavor going on here, just a good crust and a nice smile.

Service was 10.0, but not the pizza. Crust and sauce 8.5. Toppings 4.5. Canned mushrooms on a pizza is a crime.

Great staff. Quick and Friendly service! Pizza isn’t a 10, though. Maybe if we grew up down the street like Dave, it would be a 10 😉. Then pizza is really good, though and we came from the west coast just to try it! We will come back, too! Great place great people great pizza!
