Morris Park Pizza Express

Great to have a taste of home so close now! Was light, good crisp, and just enough cheese.

This spot is unfortunately a disappointment. Although the crust of these two grandma style slices are on point and the toppings are well distributed, both slices lacked flavor. How the fuck can you make sausage and peppers bland?? The best way to describe this pizza is if you bought a pizza in actual Morris Park in the Bronx, drove the 40 miles up to Shrub Oak and reheated it in your home, by that time the flavor is lost.

Agree with Ryan. Nothing really of note here. It lacked sauce, flavor, was doughy and thick, even the stretch of the pizza was off balance—thick at the tip. Crust was underfermented, though well done on the bottom. It did have crisp, so that counts for something. From the decor, guy's been in the business for a while and I respect that. Slice was $3, exactly what I had in my pocket, keeping right in line with subway fares. But that doesn't count enough to say this stands out in this area, if anything it's one of the worse ones I've had.

The pizza isn’t bad but it wasn’t at all what I expected with a name like “Morris Park”. Just didn’t have that wow factor for me.
