Established in 1987, this joint has been a staple among Fair Lawn pizzerias for quite a while. Serving surprisingly thinnish football pizza, shockingly lacking crisp, with a firm but soft texture overall. The dough is more bland than tasty, delightfully light & thin but in need of serious crisping. Thicker than a bar pie with a remarkably firm undercarriage given the softness of the dough, virtually void of char & crunch. Even the thinnish crust packs no crisp or crunch. The cheese is a mostly generic basic blend of shredded mozzarella, melted well with a somewhat standard flavor & orange tinge from the excess oil, along with manageable grease drippage. Slightly more savory than sweet, the sauce is also light but substantial enough to provide a distinctive taste. Not particularly zesty or zingy, the sauce has enough seasoning to have a presence. More mundane than subpar, the lack of pizzazz leaves the sauce a bit flat. Overall, the collective ingredients don’t make much of a statement; but a crispier pie would help every attribute of this pizza shine brighter. As is, this pie is a thin crust football pizza without crunch, just barely below average with realistic potential based on a few adjustments to score in the 7s. I love the thinness, hate the mushy texture; but this pizza is not a lost cause.

Generic cheese and a strange tasting sauce. The thinnest pizza I’ve ever seen, and not worth it at $3 a slice.

Hot as satans balls! The thinest crust I have ever seen very crunchy. The undercarriage not crispy but good. The taste is awesome. I am definitely coming back. All of you family members and amateurs leaving “10s” you actually hurt the restaurant because no one takes it seriously. This is a good place and people should know actual scores.

Ness is a favorite of ours (my wife and I). Classic thin crust, well done, crispy crust, delicious sauce and tremendous staff. Never disappointed. Worth the trip.

One of my favorites! Pizza is thin, sauce is delicious, crust is perfect, and the staff is friendly. I prefer eating it there than take out bc the crust is crispier....still awesome either way!

Top notch amazing pizza. This is the standard all other pizzas should be judged against. Their mushroom & sausage pie is the best.

I love Ness. I personally don’t mind the flop. The undercarriage is practically perfect. The taste is the best I have ever experienced. My favorite pizza of all time.

Fair Lawn isn’t exactly a Mecca for pizza, but Ness is probably the most popular in town. It tastes fine — better than most others in town — but I can’t get excited over very floppy, paper-thin slices.

Good standard slice pizza. Well cooked. Tender cheese. A little flop. Crisp. A slice I would eat for lunch regularly but nothing I’m going out of my way for.

Very little flop. Good crispy crust. The dough is on the edge of the yeast turning the sugars into alcohol. I like that flavor. Very solid slice.
