Pete & Elda's Bar / Carmen's Pizzeria

I’ve been here once before but to accurately score it I had to go within a few days of other great places like Vics (9.0), Nunzios (8.9), and some other ones I scored but with toppings (so they don’t count). The 9.2 is well deserved in my opinion, and I thought about it A LOT. The flavor is there for sure and the crisp is in a different family of crisp. Let me explain. At other bar pizza type places as I mentioned before the crisp is a tougher version and not in a bad way. This crisp is soft and melts in your mouth immediately after @ P&E’s. How do they do that? I asked out loud there? I did the challenge of course with the double XL pizza and had to finish off my boys pizza to get the shirts. The cheese is so damn good, sauce I don’t even have to comment on (I’m in jersey with the dankest tomatoes). Prez has new haven as a better spot for pizza, I definitely need to visit but damn this might be the best thing out of New Jersey.
