Philomena Santucci's Square Pizza

Eye test- a work of art on the level of Rembrandt Congruence of eye test with actual taste- this is one honest pie; this pizza does not lie Sauce- silky texture, void of sweetness, tangy, perfect subtle mix of spices. Absolutely delicious. Cheese- subtle, understated, fresh, perfect Dough- crunchy outside, fluffy inside, excellent taste. Perfect complement to the other ingredients. Execution- stellar. Absolutely perfect. Bottom and edges cooked to perfection. No char. Overall taste- excellent. Freshness of the ingredients coupled with the above average taste of all three components makes for a world class marriage. Hiawatha once said, “This beautiful land is my home. I hope the newcomers will care for it as I would have.” Thanks to the Italian newcomers that have inhabited this land, we have wonderful pizza joints like this place. This is travel-worthy.

Great looking square pie served on a wire rack. Not too greasy and perfectly crisped. Similar to Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn.

Was pretty good. Liked the sauce . Cheese was good too

Would gave a higher score if their were just a bit more toppings.

Alright so I’ve had quite a few pies from different Santucci’s locations...but never tried “Philomena’s” on Cottman Ave. If you’re ever ordering from one of these spots...you just have to go with the half and half and honestly the white pizza might even be better. As usual...no slices...but it’s very good pizza. In my opinion though, Joe Santucci’s on Woodhaven is superior.(different owner). Still good though.

Nice tangy sauce. Good cheese. One of the better pizza places in the Northeast.

Nice crust. Sauce is great but not spread evenly. Cheese was bland and overwhelming on the slices with less sauce. Still tasty overall

They’re known for their plain tomato but they got the best white pizza hands down. I’d give it a higher score but I’m not a rookie & scores will vary based on which Santucci’s you’re at. This is the best location in my opinion. Here we have a half Caucasian half sausage-I was feeling frisky.

Pizza was very good sauce was very good. Had to reheat it not even 10 mins after getting it but other than that very good.
