Pizza Review
This was my first time having deep dish pizza- and overall I’m a huge fan. I went with the South Side Classico (basically a supreme with sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms) but also got to try an all veggie slice and one with ham/oregano. The deep dish crust is absolutely fantastic- they use cornmeal to make it dense enough to hold all the toppings, but it still tastes fairly light and is perfectly crispy. The toppings are very good and so is the cheese, but the only thing holding this back from 8.5+ is the sauce, which is just average at best. I was expecting for Chicago pizza to be heavy/messy but it was easy to eat and if you’re hungry, you can treat a small deep dish pie like a personal pie.
