Plank's Cafe & Pizzeria

Very unique and interesting tavern style pizza (In a good way)! The crust was sweet and had a great crispy edge to it. Very cheesy and overpowering where you can’t taste any sauce. I wish there was more sauce on the pie regardless but overall this is a decent and tasty pizza! I’d give it a decent and solid 7.0!

I’ve heard about this sweet crust, but had to try it myself. I was actually pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it. The undercarriage was decent but too much flop for me and needed a little more crunch. The toppings were great and plentiful. I’ll give them another try for sure sometime.

**One Corner, Everyone knows the drill** Um, it was good I will say, cheese was excellent for being this far away from Wisconsin. This sweet crust, its a thing... Honestly, reminded me of the Sn****s honey pretzel twist braids. As you can see, did a half pep and those were good. The bar WAS cool, but limited drink selection and they were a little aloof on a random evening.

It’s like eating pizza toppings on a cookie…. The dough was overly sweet. I tried adding pepper flakes to offset the sweetness, it didn’t help.

Solid pizza. The crust has a sweet flavor which is unique but not overwhelming. Would have liked to have more crunch in the crust.

I’m shocked that the average is only a 7.8. This pizza is unique and tastes fantastic. If you don’t like sweet crust, this isn’t the pie for you, and you’re bland.

Sauce on the pepperoni was too sweet. Overpowers all of the other flavors. The Cajun Chicken pie however was much better, but also very sweet.

This is the best pizzeria in Columbus, maybe in Ohio. Incredible pizza and a great family small business. If you like pizza and think you know good pizza, you’ll enjoy Plank’s.

This pizza isn’t bad but it’s not all that great. The crust kinda of has an odd sweet flavor that I don’t care much for.

By far my favorite pizza, there’s a great sweet and spicy from the pepperoni and the crust… hands down the best around.

Different style than what I normally like, but crust pairs well with the pizza.

Would usually never score a pizza this high , but this is my all time favorite pizza . Best pizza in Ohio . Only at Planks ON PARSONS! I Columbus there is Planks on Parsons and then there’s everyone else .

Open for business since 1939 - doesn’t matter, we score it firm but firm. Party style.. tossup with Grandad’s. This is AFC North stuff. Dawg Pound during Romeo Crennel stuff. We’re hungry though so it hit. 6.8.

Favorite pizza I’ve had so far in Columbus. Texture of pizza is wonderful, crisp pepperonis. Pizza heaven. Is a little sweet but I loved it

Not my typical style of pizza. It’s a sweet sour dough crust with an equally sweet sauce. That being said it is built in the Columbus style that is so dear to my heart. Thin crust, square cut and that pepperoni that curls perfectly. Best city for pizza on earth bar none. Only thing I would improve on this is to cook the cheese more. Definitely worth a try if in German Village.
