Rappahannock Pizza Kitchen (RPK)

Got pie well done if you are a fan of tomato pie this one’s got a good crust and crisp to it sauce has some acidity to it however

Very tasty wood fired pizza from deep in the Appalachian mountains. Little flop and a little greasy but very tasty.

Had higher hopes. Great location by Shenandoah National Park, attached to a really nice little market. Good ingredients, but the taste wasn’t there. Soft crust. Someone else said hipster-in-the-country pizza and they were exactly right.

Wanted to like this more than I did

Something’s really salty on this slice. Dough was half cooked. Big soupy mess. Oven might be too hot. Crust is decent.

Alright Austin.... one bite, everyone knows the rules! Hand tossed in front of my very eyes, wood fired, no flop, alittle bit of grease. Burned my face off. Sauce could use a little more tang but a solid pie.

Tasty pie. Next time I’ll get a specialty pizza. I like toppings but review the cheese to be a one bite purist. Small kitchen. Good pizza. Nice crunch. Small is, 14 inches so not able to flop. Dough is good. Not too much cheese. Sauce could use a little more flavor and it would jump over 8 in a hurry. This is a Hipster in the country pizza joint. But it is good.

Very good wood fired pizza in a location you would not expect. Anybody visiting Luray Caverns or staying in Shenandoah National Park should make the trip to RPK.
