Decent if thin and well

OK, here we are on a rainy Thursday. But that’s OK. Heading to fire Island tomorrow to open the house. So I’m not complaining. And I wanted to get a pizza review in. Even though I’m going on a diet, I still have to get my reviews in. But I plan accordingly. All the way up in old Greenwich, and it looks pretty good. The slices are massive. I have to say. I don’t know if I could eat both of them. But I’m gonna try. But they look really good. Maybe old style pizza. Let’s go. Zero flop, a tad greasy, but that’s OK. Good crunch, good sauce to cheese ratio. Definitely old-school Italian pizza. I would say if you zest this sucker up a little bit, it would be really good. And they do have a lot of other styles of pizza, but I had to go with the plane to keep it real. But good old-fashioned pizza.

Very good regular slice - excellent flavor

Despite some pretty generic ingredients, this pie really captures the overall flavor of pizza. Soft dough, thinnish...very standard-looking round pie. The thick, soft & doughy crust stands out the most because there is so much of it. The sauce and cheese are rather basic, too nondescript to really evaluate. They both need a little kick...garlic, pepper, spices...something to differentiate from a generic pie. Much like pizza-flavored Pringles or Combos snacks, it simulates the essence of pizza flavor. It’s good for Southern Connecticut but not great compared to some of the other pizzerias nearby.

1 cheese slice, 12:05pm on a Friday, $3.20 Pros: Good crunch to the crust, fair amount of sauce, nice sized slice of pizza Cons: A little chewy, coastline sauce kind of dry Verdict: Not a bad tasting slice, a bit nondescript but it's good pizza. I didn't try any of their other pizzas but the pepperoni and sausage slices looked real good behind the glass.

A little disappointed with Renapoli. According to some articles this is amongst the best in CT but really the one bite average is spot on. Lots to choose from on the menu...From the Neapolitan side I went with original tomato pie. Eh — not a traditional neopolitan style at all, just less crispy than I would like. Pretty bland overall. From the NY side I went with the True Sicilian. Much much better, the highlight was the bread which was super fresh tasting and soft. But the cheese and sauce are just average.

Delicious. Does everything a slice should. Great taste, great sauce and cheese, great crunch.

Good quality

Huge slice with very little flop, crispy crust. Not too greasy, excellent cheese. Tremendous pizza.
