Solid neighborhood slice shop but there are better options in the area.

Sister location of Rosa’s of Maspeth today I tried their famous upsidedown as a pie for the first time rather than slice. The crust has a great crisp to all edges and undercarriage but while not doughy it is rather dense but this is an old school pie that’s been as is pretty much since the mid 70s. The cheese has a great flavor, pull and is abundant melded perfectly to the top of the Sicilian dough but what you come here for is that sauce and grated parm. Flavor alone this is into the 9s the closest sauce I’ve come across to my favorite Brooklyn square or Emmetts as well as the parm that assaults the top of this square pie. The sauce is so rich and flavorful, thick and proud of it. The flavor contrast of the sauce and grated cheese is intense and everything you look for from this style. I know it’s tough to compare a fresh pie to a slice but I gotta say it’s better as a pie and the Williamsburg location is just as good if not better that the queens original, fight me. But seriously this is just another must hit spot in an area flooded with top tier spots!!!

Bit greasy on the cheese, solid flop, nice chary crunch but a bland ish sauce. Grandmas slice was delicious but lacked the overcooked bottom crunch I love. Plain cheese: 7.1 Grandmas: 7.5 7.3 total, solid

Wow. I mean if that photo doesn’t say it all. The Sicilian here is godly. The regular cheese is no slouch either though. Since this place was open so late I was ready to label this as drunk pizza. But no this was legit good.

Very tasty. Very hot. Decent crisp on crust early.

Grandma’s za is solid, the rest not quite as good Garlic knots are a nice side ting

No flop at all. Decent sauce, cheese is a bit salty. Dough is pretty solid. Cheese is just too salty or it would be much better.

White pizza on time and a million other creative innovations to choose from. Little gourmet mixed with down-home italy. Most is reheated but it is easy on the eyes, wallet and watch.

Vodka slice was perfect

Cheese lovers slice with a nice crisp located directly across the street from the Knitting Factory. This is where you go after a night of boozing for a pick me up.

Decent football pizza. Very run of the mill. Can’t complain but nothing spectacular.

Upside down slice looked the most fresh had it. Was actually great texture crust but those sauce lacked. Overall pretty decent.

A solid slice with a great density and toughness/chewiness in the dough. The sauce is not sweet, which I prefer, but overall each bite leaves a salty taste. But, it’s also on the cheesier side which is probably the reason for that salty finish. ——————— Sicilian Slice: 7.4 — Still salty, but an AMAZING juxtaposition between the crispy under carriage and pillowy top. Ravioli Slice: 8.5 — if you come to Rosa’s, you’re messing up if you don’t get this.
