Rubirosa

Founded by the son of the founder of Joe & Pat’s on Staten Island, this pizza isn’t quite as good but it’s damn close. Pretty thin and out of this world crispy, like a larger bar pie with much more oomph! The sauce is STELLAR 💫 with plenty of zip, zest & tang...uniquely outstanding, packing a major punch of flavor. The sauce isn’t the only star of this pizza, it co-headlines with the dough & crust. Outrageously crispy & crunchy with a great taste to match, elite level deliciousness. The only area somewhat lacking is the cheese, which is very tight and a little dry. It also has kind of a cheddar Cheez-It flavor which is strange but not terrible. I think some fresh mozzarella would push this score into the 9s, considering how incredible the sauce and dough taste. Overall this is fantastic pizza, worth traveling for and some of the best in Manhattan.
