OK pizza review time, quarantine style. Hazlet New Jersey. This is Salerno‘s. Tucktaway little spot in Hazlet. I have to say I was quite impressed. Without a doubt the best pizza in Hazlet, Union Beach, Keyport area. Real nice crispy crust. Cheese had a nice flavor decent sauce could’ve been a little bit more and a little more flavor but very impressed. Definitely the Football pie winner of the area. I’m going 8.2. I’m shocked at myself for going that high but I can only go by the slice and the slice was pretty damn good. That’s the review

That’s a damn fine pizza. Crispy, great sauce, perfect cheese blend. Whoa. I expected a lot and it delivered. The garlic bread was PHENOMENAL.

Very standard. Excellent crunch. Crust is the star of the show. Too cheesy, and the cheese doesn’t particularly taste good. The sauce tastes like nothing. Overall, execution is somewhat above average. Because it is cooked nicely and despite the weakness of the individual ingredients, it all comes together reasonably well. Don’t travel for this, and if you live in the neighborhood, look elsewhere.

I live around the corner from Salerno’s and I grew up eating their pizza. The pizza is amazing and the crust is amazing as well. This pizza is a taste of home for me.
