Satchel's Pizza

A spot near and dear to my heart. Not a Portnoy pie but a damn good pizza. Some flop, but not a lot. Great flavor, everything made in house, the atmosphere is unmatched, an experience like no other with all the stuff displayed. Satchel “the owner” made his own sodas and put them on the menu, I suggest the Lola Cola with a pie. Back to the pizza, Sauce is sweet and savory while the cheese is fresh and not overpowering. Great football pizza in God’s country.

Texture was mostly good. The crust was disappointing. Average undercarriage. Decent pizza but doesn’t live up to the hype. Great environment though

The crispy bottom, tasty sauce, and the doughy crust…perfection.

Good sauce and cheese not bad. Bit soupy in the middle; need to tighten that up. Crust was very interesting and unique, didn’t really like it.

This score was raised because of the atmosphere. It’s a cool place and a great restaurant just the pizza was not very good. The only decent part of it were the toppings. It could have been cooked a few more minutes, the sauce was very generic, and nothing else gave it any flavor.

Great cheese and really interesting sauce. The crust and undercarriage are the weakest link in this pizza. Get that right and you’re into the 8’s.

What a spectacular old school pizza joint. So well run, pizza was crispy and delicious! Atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing and the staff is as solid a restaurant staff ever! I wish more restaurant owners took as much pride as Satchels’s does to ensure your experience there is so enjoyable. Homemade soda was also amazing and homemade dessert was delicious!

A lot of people said to try this place. Pizza was very bland & disappointing. Cheese and sauce wouldn’t stay on the pizza. Make sure if you are here to let the pizza cool down first never burnt my self that bad before.

Could use a little more cheese but otherwise great pizza.

Good tasting slice, crust had good flop with good crisp, good sauce, roni’s we’re tasty with a little spice to them. Crust had a garlic after taste.

Sauce is good. Nowhere near enough cheese. Pizza overcooked
