I had the review this one just like the Prez, since Sergi's is STILL only doing takeout due to covid.
I've been here a handful of times but not in a couple of years, and the pizza was basically what I remembered other than they no longer use the same style of pepperoni. They used to use the small thicker pepperonis that would curl up and hold the grease inside of them, which I prefer to the flat larger pepperonis that they now use.
Sauce is excellent and you can tell the ingredients are very fresh, but the pizza is extremely doughy and has very little crisp, and that's even after I asked them to cook it well done. The cheese was also lacking near the crust, which is evident even in the picture I included.
Sergi's has a legendary reputation in the Potsdam area and nothing that anyone can say about it will change that, but in my opinion it's overrated and definitely could be better.
