Spatola's Pizza - Downingtown

Light crisp. Crust is a bit doughy but has a bud crunch. Sauce is decent and cheese is nothing special.

Solid slice. Nothing spectacular about it but it gets the job done.

Got the tomato pie pizza. Super crispy crust which I like but the sauce has a weird taste to it. All the tomato pie pizza I’ve had, had some type of cheese on it this one doesn’t I would preferred some type of cheese.

White 7. Just really enjoy this pie. Brooklyn 7.4 nice switch up in the area just not for me. Regular 6.7

Way too greasy. No crunch. Sauce isn’t so tasty. But good cheese

Trying my best to support these guys here because it seems they are suffering. However, very average pizza here. The sauce does not have much taste at all. There is a bit of crisp though, the flop was not much but still there to some degree. This is great drunk/high pizza.

So when I saw the puddle of grease in the middle I was like ugh. But the slice was ok once you dabbed that off. Thin slice with a bit of crisp. The crust had a nice crisp also. Cheese had a nice flavor sauce was just there I guess. But decent slice. $5 soda and slice

The plain Ol’ cheese is like that friend who lives around the corner from you. He isn’t your best friend but he is available. Only thing found for this piece is some nice stretchy cheese, due to the fact that sauce is super basic and hard to notice and crust isn’t crispy or underdone. (6.2) The Trenton slice is a “hells yeahhh.” Super thin dice with amazing garlicky crisp and some bruschetta tomato to put a top on it. Banging like a biscuit (7.1)

Solid pizza. Would recommend but not good enough to break into the 8’s.

Greasy

good crunch. Sauce is flavorless, grease is out of control.

Pretty average-looking pie. Lava cheese. Flop.

Gotta go Brooklyn style all the way. Plain cheese is the gold medal slice but this style of Pizza is legit. MUST GET when eating from here

Good slice - elevated football pizza - nice crust - would recommend!

Skip the regular pizza and go for the Trenton or Brooklyn style square instead. They make it like a grandma slice where the pizza is thin and crispy and the cheese goes on first and the sauce is applied in spots on top to allow browning of the cheese too. Picture is of the Brooklyn style where they use fresh mozzarella and basil and olive oil. Trenton style they use regular shredded dry mozzarella and a generous amount of garlic and olive oil. Best in this area by far.

Wildly average. Very greasy. No pull to the cheese, it fell off the slice after one bite. The pizza was one big mess. Maybe they had an off night, I had heard good things.

A little better than their sister restaurant, Tonito’s in West Chester, but still absolute fire 🔥

Definition of football Pizza. Fairly greasy, light crust. Gets the job done
