Visited this place for the first time in early 2025. They had just recently opened and I was eager to try their pizza as I like my pizza New Haven Style and grew up in a surrounding town. They have the oven in the corner and you can see the pizza be made and cooked to perfection right in front of you. They also give you fried spaghetti with salt for free at the table which is surprisingly good! Anyway, the pizza arrived in short time and was better than I could’ve expected. The bottom was crisp and there was little to no flop and the cheese and sauce blend was the perfect ratio. Over the past year I have gone back multiple times and they are consistently good. I recently tried their pepperoni and it was one of the best I have had in the area.
One thing to note is that the pizza is much better when it is cooked longer as shown in the photo. So, if you’d like you could request it to be cooked like such but most of the time it is already meeting that standard.
This pizza deserves a 9/10 because of its great crisp, excellent sauce and cheese ratio, and the consistent A+ pizzas that square peg is turning out.
(Side note) They have some of the nicest waiters that are quick and reliable every time. Overall, best spot in Shelton CT.
