Strong's Brick Oven Pizzeria

Stopped by Stong’s Brick Oven Pizzeria in Newport, KY, and got this beauty. Right away, you can tell this pizza means business. The crust is perfectly charred — that brick oven flavor really comes through. It has a nice crunch on the outside but stays soft and chewy inside. The sauce is rich and fresh, with a bold tomato taste, and the fresh mozzarella melts beautifully into the mix. The sliced tomatoes and basil on top add a refreshing touch that balances the whole thing. A classic Margherita-style pizza done right!

Neapolitan style, good crunch and crisp crust. Sauce is a bit sweet for me but it’s still very good.

If you’re looking for Neapolitan, this will do nicely! Ordered the Cosentino and wasn’t disappointed. The texture on the outer crust was perfect—couldn’t have asked for a better bake. My personal preference is for more garlic on my pie, but that hasn’t been my experience with Neapolitan pizza, and this was right in line with that. The staff was also extra friendly.

Pepperoni pizza was amazing, the almost famous hot and spicy w grippos was awesome

The Quattro formaggi is a seriously good pizza. Gotta order that if you find yourself in Cincinnati.

Very light crust. Nice tangy sauce. Good quality cheese.

App score is pretty close. Great dough, fresh tangy sauce, would have liked a taste more basil and mozz on top, round tomatoes not roma so a little watery. Overall pretty good. Consistent with the other two locations I’ve tried as well.

Damn good pizza

Good. Nice char. Good flavor. Thick ass sausage. Sauce is tangy. Lots of garlic butter on the crust.

The pizza of Newport/northern KY. Possibly the best of Cincinnati. Super long string cheese at the pull with no loss of topping. Crispy then pillow soft crust. Mild deep red sauce with no sweetness but a tomato tang at the forefront. Decedent creamy cheese. Perfect taste and color of char underneath that grew bolder towards the back of each slice. I took a photo earlier but it didn’t post? So please judge others. I typically give hard reviews. I’d might rate it even higher. The best pizza I’ve found since I’ve moved here. Also very affordable. Half of larges on Wednesdays. Give them a try.

Some of the best crust in the Cincinnati area. Solid flavor but nothing out of this world. Good pizza.

Large Cheese Pie - $14.99 Second best pizza in Newport. Loved the crisp and cheese. My only hang up was the amount of sauce. Wish there was more. Other than that... great pizza

4 cheese had a lot of flop. To be expected with that much cheese. We also had their signature and Diavolo pizzas. Excellent crisp but still fluffy. Sauce has some tang but not a lot. Great undercarriage. Fast service. Definitely worth stopping in.
