I'm gonna give this a higher score than I should because of nistolgic reasons. This pizza reminded me of Captains Pizza in CT. Captains was one of the staple pizza's my mom would bring home when I was a kid. The pizza was on the greasy side (a Captains trademark), but the sauce was really flavorful. The crust was what really took me back in time, had the oil on the crust and a nice crisp on the edges. Again Captains wasn't my favorite, but because Tavern 42 was able to somehow recreate that childhood flavor I really enjoyed it, and will be going back for more.
