Good tasting pizza, good amount of sauce not overwhelming. Dough a little thick and soft. Crispier thinner dough would make it much better but good overall.

Great taste and crust. A little floppy but not too bad, overall really great pizza - it’s called “the Carolina” loved the toppings also.

I'm gonna give this a higher score than I should because of nistolgic reasons. This pizza reminded me of Captains Pizza in CT. Captains was one of the staple pizza's my mom would bring home when I was a kid. The pizza was on the greasy side (a Captains trademark), but the sauce was really flavorful. The crust was what really took me back in time, had the oil on the crust and a nice crisp on the edges. Again Captains wasn't my favorite, but because Tavern 42 was able to somehow recreate that childhood flavor I really enjoyed it, and will be going back for more.

Picked up a 12 inch pizza for myself at Tavern 42. If you are looking for NY style and quality then Tavern 42 is the spot. Best pizza this side of Clayton.
