The Besta Wan Pizza House

Under new ownership and slinging out some great bar / tavern style pizzas. Serve Detroit style as well. Great balance of ingredients to cheese, cracker bar pie crust and cut into squares. What’s not to love. New owner is a Chicago native and chef by trade. I looked up health score and most recent was a 98% A++. Very much improved over past owners pizza.

Pizza with a side of food poisoning. The beer is cold and that is the best thing I can say about best-a-wan. I have been here well over 50 times. The pizza is terrible and this is a pizza review app. Google the health grade history before you go. 👍

Been here several times and got the Detroit style pizza on the first day it was on the menu. The pizza is outstanding - perfect tangy sauce, crust that keeps up with the endless toppings, and the vibe is the besta one in town.

Good stuff. Pretty sure this would go in the “bar pie” category.

Decided to try the “bear down” with artichoke, pepperoni, chopped tomatoes, sausage. Too much toppings, too little sauce. Should have gone with a standard cheese, or single topping. Cheese and toppings almost pull off when you take a bite. Crust is hard, and crispy. 6.2 because I was hungry. I would try it again, a different pizza this time.
