*New Ownership review A lot of hype behind this pie. It was said to be the OG Joe’s Pizza Recipe, which is the Famous Bruni’s recipe. It’s close! The crust is a bit too dense, sauce is almost spot on. Cheese is different. It’s very close and still an excellent pie. Keep working on the crust! Maybe add soda water. Seems like the dough was pressed and not hand tossed, judging by the wrinkles and separation. Same issue the old Mario’s pie had. While this won’t stop my trips to Bruni’s, it’s good enough to hold me over. Still the best pie in town.
