Great traditions -> make great foods is their motto Frankie and We like it ... we are here at Tonino’s-> we’ve been attempting to come here for several weeks now > but they’re always closed —> (such bad asses) -> they open when they want to -> and you can go fxxk yourself if you don’t like it —> sorry this is a kids show but yeah—> that type of attitude—> you feel it from the moment you walk in ——> italian gangster type vide —> italian mom on the cash —> the guy running the joint and cooking the food at the same time in the back —> (where the magic happens) —> taking your order directly —-> yelling over the poor momma lady at the counter on the phone trying to take someone else’s order —> Yelling over her —> directly in communication with the back —> it was a crazy Frankie—> hardcore Italian Family —> authentic as fxxk -> pissed off muthafackin italian family—> just killing pizzas since 1967 -> and a little side story here Frankie: their hours never say what is actually happening = pure gangster = so just call ahead and don’t waste their time cus they might take you out back and bury you Frankie -> don’t mess with them-> like we did Frankie —> 5 times we came here to try this famous pizza and 5 times they were closed .... and it’s just a fluke that ‘today’ -> they JUST happened to be open —> and we are so lucky to finally be able to do this review-> we actually jumped at the chance —> it’s like they have over-ingratiated themselves with the opportunity to allow for themselves to have us review their pizza —> and for that we are honoured 🎩 ... so we are here to review this pizza because we’ve been hearing about these pies and this business has been in this family since 67’ frankie -> summer of 69’ -> Bryan Adams -> Canadian singer wrote that song in the 80s —> no where near the 60s-> -> that’s a lesson in Canadian music and a Pizza review -> all wrapped into one —> There is very rarely an independent pizza restaurant that stayed independent since 1967 —> most of the places in Canada that started pizza in the 60s are now franchises -> that original version -> has over the years —> gotten so far away from what the original owner prescribed to do —> every year with the franchises ingredients got optimized and got cheaper and the -> process gets weaker and they will make an excuse to cut the bottom dollar even more -> until you are finally eating a piece of cardboard (like in yesterday’s review) and by avoiding these pitfalls is how Tonino’s has ended up being in business for over 54 years and serving Brampton for more than 17 of them —-> because the Caloiero family has been creating fine Italian foods for the Greater Toronto Area since 1967. They learned about the time-honored culinary traditions that their father -> had brought over from Italy -> (their trade secret recipes) -> a man who always insisted on the highest quality ingredients and the best possible service and since then they’ve served thousands of customers over the past several decades Frankie ... and that commitment to quality shows as Tonino’s only uses local AAA-grade meats and Ontario-grown vegetables—> all prepared on the premise —> including their very own sauce and dough daily — > plus Frankie did I mention they have won numerous awards for their pizzas—-> because that’s what brings us here today —> pizza —-> it’s January-> it’s cold it’s Canada -> one bite everyone knows the rules—> (pizza review time Jan 18th 12:00pm)... And I also wanted mention again Frankie that their hours have been updated due to Covid —> website says—> Mon-Sun 11am–8pm—> what it should say is —> “go fxxk yourself you muthfukn fungouloo -> we open when want to —> wadda ya gonna do about it -> go ahead -> do something ya filthy animal”—> reminds me of —> you know when el’Presidente is intimidated when doing a review ? That’s how we felt at Tonino’s -> we went and hide and reviewed it because we were scared we were gonna get whacked and so from a safe place we bite it and give it an honest score from-> 1 to 10 ... one bite —> everyone knows the rules -> bite it -> score it -> 1 thru 10 -> here we go—> we won’t be intimidated—> all fresh ingredients—> pizza just falls apart when it’s fresh —> el’Presidente would not be as careful as we were —> no matter how we tried and pinch it —> it was fall apart city —> thin pizza -> Italian margarita meets neapolitan-> dare we say? meets greasy football pizza -> especially once the cheese firms up a bit and sucks back in its own greases that were swimming on top when fresh out of the oven —> that same grease that gave the killer flop —> once firmed -> the cheese combats the flop —> the homemade sauce is so fresh with a mild sweet after taste and the crust has perfect crisp —> and underneath had the perfect charring —> (some say it could use some more char Frankie - we wouldn’t - some would - we wouldn’t)... more char —> more heat —> perhaps a couple dough bubbles combating the center grease —> this is Italian Pizza perfection... straight Italian goodness —> you know your Italian neighbour with pizza oven in the yard ? -> these are the pizzas that they would serve —> perhaps a little hotter oven than Tonino’s is serving —> but Tonino’s has all the ingredients to gives them a score easy in the 8s —> So We see where the other reviewers might have gotten confused—> the other reviewers are not professionals-> one with the score in the 5s ?insinuating that this was a frozen pizza? That is a whack review and should be discarded because someone who says that about this place? Obviously has a personal vendetta against them and the other reviewer who left the score in the 8s ? obviously knows them because a score in the 8s is way too high of a score for this pie-> a pie that starts out as a greasy little pizza with no integrity —> no way to hold it —> fall apart city —> swimming in grease —> with ingredients to die for —> as it cools —> cheese firms —> grease settles and it becomes a great football pizza —> it’s just a great pizza ~> couldn’t stop eating until it was done—> all things taken into consideration! 7.7 (professional score) Tonino’s Pizza—> (*bonus review* calzone 7.5)... and 7.7 on the pizza —> we will be back —> that’s a review!
