Well——-> Frankie-> we are back at it—> never got to do a review yesterday because ‘Tony and Jim’s Place’ closed early last night after we drove all the way out there -> it’s Canada -> it’s January-> it’s Cold (pizza review time Jan 7th 7pm)... So we are back again - (as we are persistent pizza reviewers and life goes on) ->
‘one bite everyone knows the rules’ —> from what we’re told Frankie—-> Tony & Jim’s offers an incredible selection of pizzas, pastas and other Italian favorites like the Meat Shop Pizza -> the Panzerotti plus lasagnas and more ... but in true ‘one bite’ fashion we only tried the classic pizza-> as everyone knows -> everything you need to know about a pie-> you can tell from the classic -> we only judge the basic pizza and we really don’t know anything else about their amazing cuisine -> and just the fact that we came all the way back out here ? lets you know that this places reputation exceeds itself for making good food and therefore we came back out here again Frankie -> even though we were on time ‘last night’ -> and Tony and Jim -> just decided to close up shop early -> we guess? -> so we are still on the fence -> if we are going to deduct a point for that ? let’s see -> one bite everyone knows the rules -> expected a Sicilian or a Neapolitan vibe being Italian and all and -> something floppy with a good crust and homemade sauce -> BUT HONESTLY -> it gives off a bit of a Domino’s vibe with good crust and yeah though it had a nice crispy crust and the undercarriage had some char -> and it did have zero flop -> so this pizza Frankie! had a lot of good things going for it —-> besides these other unprofessional reviews on here-> especially the guy with his feet? and the pizza in the same shot? Are you kidding me?—> that guys account needs to be deleted-> anyways -> one bite everyone knows the rules—> and let us mention -> the other ONE BITE APP scores for this particular place seem to be particularly suspect as it is-> because -> they are extremely high!!! for this quality of pie -> that makes us believe that the people that have been reviewing this place up until now ? are either in cahoots with the place or they don’t know what they’re talking about -> (like the guy with his feet in the shot & the pizza at the same time)—-> but on the other hand -> our real issue is not that guy —-> it was having us drive all the way out here last night and then Tony and Jim closing up early——> Not cool-> Still we are still on the fence if there might be a point deduction for that? (some would call it false advertising Frankie - I wouldn’t - some would - I wouldn’t)... so we would’ve given this pizza a 5.9 -> as it’s a very good pizza if you like that dominoes style vibe with the mediocre sauce and then the broil on top to make the cheese blotchy to make it seem like it’s higher quality sauce was used? then it even looks the part until you bite into it and then you realize that it’s not what it seems —-> then you notice the hard melted cheese on the outside of the crust from the artificial broil at the end—-> at $10 it could’ve been in the 6’s —-> as any Domino’s style Pizza should go for around $10 and that would’ve been a review but seeing how they had us drive out here last night and they closed up shop early? We are deducting a full point for that and though it was slightly better than Domino’s —-> that’s not a bonus we were expecting a quality Italian pizza and so this review will come in at 4.9 where the pizza truly is a 5.9 and as we score it (1 to 10 / one bite / everyone knows the rules / bite it / score it -> 1 thru 10 -> ) ... all of the above taken into consideration and the fact that this is an amazing pizza with fresh ingredients (and made with love definitely needed to give a couple of decimal points back on the score) so our 4.9 went up to a 5.1 (professional score) showed up extremely hungry, hadn’t eaten all day -> we could’ve ate multiple pies—-> only finished half of Tony and Jim’s Pizza-> we might not be back —> 5.1 that’s a review!
