Umberto's of Long Island Restaurant & Pizza

Super big milestone for me. Today is my 300th pizza review on this One Bite Pizza app. Umberto's of Long Island is one of the biggest names in the pizza business. I did my 100th from Deerfield Beach (recently changed names) Umberto's and my 200th from Dunedin Umberto's ( Clearwater area) 1. This is located on East Commercial Blvd in Fort Lauderdale, very close to home, yet I never made it to this location til now. 2. They have been open over 50 years and seem always to stay consistently good. 3. A bit light on the amount of sauce but overall was a masterpiece and made it into the elite group of 8.1 or higher. If you look over my 300 reviews I haven't given many that made it in the 8's and still no 9's. My rating is 8.3 ( for those people that say Florida does not have good pizza, there definitely is, you just have to look a bit)

This was one of the best I have had from our go to pizza place. The brick oven is fantastic! Zero flop, fresh mozzarella and those burnt bubbles are everything!

Grandma is the way to go! Add Pepperoni. Great tang. Crispy crust. Solid all around.

Fell upon this place by accident and boy am I glad we did. Great pizza , perfectly cooked, sweet sauce, fresh cheese. Will be adding this to my best of list

Grandma 12 inch pizza. Very well cooked. Crisp. Great sauce slightly sweet but good tang. Fresh cheese. Nice chew on firm crust. Best around

Pretty good crisp, fresh tasting

We ordered two pies. This review is based on the better pie, the grandmas pie. This pie was FANTASTIC! Sauce had good flavor, cheese spread perfectly so you got some in every bite. Basil cooked just enough to give it a crisp texture with flavor. Only thing i would’ve changed is it was a little over cooked. The middle pieces were perfect, but the edges (my favorite) were burnt. We got the regular pie too, i would give that a 6.1. Also over cooked on the bottom and extra greasy.

Football pizza. Homemade sausage is a nice. Leaving this as best I’ve had in Lauderdale...I said it. Boom sauce!
