Valerio's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

After a long day at the water park we went here for some grub. I thought the pasta dishes were better than the pizza we got. It was on a flakey store bought crust. I couldn’t even pick up a slice without it breaking into pieces. The sauce was strong and not bad, and the cheese didn’t have that good of a taste to make up for the crust. Overall, I would stick to the pasta and meatballs before getting the pizza here.

“Erie” pizza or “Midwest” pizza is its own genre: pre-baked crust, lots of sauce and a comforting amount of cheese. There’s something magic about Valerio’s interpretation. The sweet, tangy sauce hits every time, and the crust — while admittedly dense and a little chewy — makes for such a satisfying bite. I love Valerio’s so much.

Hmm. It’s an “Erie style” pizza which starts with a pre-baked shell for a crust and a shit load of sloppy sauce and a bunch of cheese. As far as Erie style pizzas go, this is the best one but it’s still not wonderful. The sauce is kinda sweet but there is a lot of it and it typically drips off while you’re trying to eat it. Most normal people would find it to be too much sauce but I can handle it. As low as I’m rating this, I still like it and I’ve eaten probably a hundred Valerio’s pizzas in my life, it’s just not something I would recommend to someone who doesn’t live here.

Chicken bacon ranch

Not a fan of square pizza. Not bad crust was good. Sauce had a great taste. No grease. Just wasn’t anything special.
