Wood & Fire Neapolitan Style Pizza

It’s food. Can’t taste the sauce at all and there isn’t much of it. Crust is good so a 6.5

A score of 5 should indicate an average, a 4 is below average and that’s being generous here. Let’s start with the not a Detroit slice: the dough is way too dense, with a crumb that resembles an overworked biscuit. Dry and dense. Nothing you want in a “Detroit.” A Detroit should have a pillowy crumb and should be an awesome transition to the crispy frico edges. Crispy pan bottom to boot. This was just a dense dry mess. The Sicilian was also too dense and equally lame. The price charged here is ridiculous for what it is. They’re not fermenting dough for 48-72 hours and using great grains.

This the the Roman pie. So delicious and fresh. But way too floppy. Next time I ask for well done. Big points for flavor but subtracted for texture.

(Wood fired pizza and sandwiches in Portage,IN) I wanted this pizza to be good and thought it had a lot of potential. Good flavor but the amount of grease was overwhelming not to mention the butter they put on top. Not really understanding that. Needed 3 more minutes on the oven.

This was a nice upscale-ish experience right here. The "Roman" pizza was super thin with wonderful notes of garlic and parm, it was just skimpy on sauce but otherwise it was great. The wings were pieces of honey glazed heaven though! Could I have had a pizza and wings from a football spot for half the price? Of course I can and I have, but this is not your football fare. This is a once in a while treat! P.s. I think this completes all the Pleasantville places to review!

Honey oil is a game changer. Pizza was light, but nothing outside the box. Basil slaps. Spots cozy

Floppy and doughy and no crunch even on the crust but nice char and sauce has flavor.

Classico pizza and a Blue Point Toasted Lager, 3:40pm on a Saturday, $25 and change I visited based upon a previous review saying this was too thin. I love super thin. This is absolutely the thinnest, stiffest Neapolitan pizza I’ve ever had but it was severely lacking sauce. I don’t like the typical Neapolitan flop so I was excited to try this no flop pie. Unfortunately it was dry as a desert. Nice leopard spotting underneath, good flavor to the charred dough and cheese. Just wish it had a hint of sauce flavor mixed in.

Waited an hr (including initial 20min pickup time) but I'm giving them benefit of the doubt that we are in a pandemic and it's crazy out there. Animals. Nice under carriage. It's okay.

Great ingredients are used to make this pie. Can't believe I'm gonna say this bc pizza is suppose thin and airy but this was too thin. Felt like it was on a graham cracker and gave it zero flop. Good overall

Very good slice. Must try for Westchester, NY area. One of the better slices in the area. Just FAXXXX

Definitely an overachieving pie -a Neapolitan-style tryhard. Everything is clearly done with care and is definitely worth a return visit (especially for some of their more specialty pies), but the basic elements don’t synergize like truly elite pizza
