Angelo's Coal Oven Pizzeria

Second time was not the charm. I gave it another visit and it disappointed again. The quality is there, and so is the crunch, but it was just boring and nothing to brag about.

Amazing crunch, not as sweet of a sauce as John’s pizza, and more cheese than John’s, phenomenal pizza.

Sauce was excellent. Was a little floppy but great taste.

Angelo’s Coal Oven Pizza near Columbus circle. Excellent pizza.

Wow. Great sauce flavor. Extremely fresh cheese. But I think the dough steals the show. The crust is perfect. Even with a bit of grease, the crust didn't flop at all. One of the best I've ever had in all categories.

Fantastic pizza. Here bc of Dave’s review. Solid pizza. Best slice I’ve had.

Fantastic pizza. Sauce and cheese are great, but the crust is unbeatable. I’ve been here before and had better pies. The flop today was too much. Don’t think it settled right. But still a top notch pie!

BANG-A-RANG

Best pizza I’ve had in my life. I don’t see how it gets better than this.

Excellent in every dimension. This pizza had the perfect texture with a bit of char that enhanced the taste even more. The sauce was amazing. Each slice had minimal flop and I enjoyed every bit of it including the crust. Also, this pizza wasn’t overly filling, it was just the right amount of food. I highly recommend this pizza if you’re in the area!

Great crisp, not the biggest fan of the cheese, still good pizza

Crust is light and powerful crunch on the crust. Sauce has a quick tomato bite that is memorable.

Nice spot by Central Park. Crust nice. Nice uncarriage. Cheese a bit sloppy

ELITE 🍕 in the city! Will come back every trip to experience again! Thank you, Angelo’s for killing my late night cravings.

Somehow I’ve never reviewed this spot despite being here a couple of times. Classic coal fire pizza with light char. Quality ingredients. Not too greasy.

Perfect crust, amazing char and the sauce + cheese was gorgeous. The pepperoni cups were fantastic too. Best pizza in the city, easily.

I don’t think it hits 9.3, but still damn good. Love the history of the restaurant.
