Sauce and cheese were delicious. A bit doughy, not as much crunch as you’d expect from a coal fired pie but still very delicious.

I am clearly not a food photog...but a 30 yr NYer & just found this place. Wow! I could drink a pint of this sauce. Amazing pizza!

Definitely the best pizza I’ve had. Great sauce, cheese, crust was of my ideal thickness. Fresh basil always a nice touch. Had Johns of Bleeker the day prior and the sauce and cheese gives Angelos the edge in my opinion. Both were more flavorful and the sauce a bit sweeter.

It was excellent...but didn’t have the overall flavor of a John’s of Bleecker pie or Pepe’s. It was crispier though! The crispiest Coal Oven Pizza ever! Cheese was too ordinary to be out into the 9’s

The cheese pizza was fantastic, sauce and basil was great. The sausage was over powering. The 8.7 is based solely on the cheese slice.

Finally got uptown to this place and it shook my hand and told me I was gonna like it. Ingredients absolutely on point fresh af cooked dead on. Got up close with the oven and talked to maybe Angelo himself great people and a must return. On a Lucali level the perfect proportion and flavor make for a epic pie and make monday feel like a bumped up Friday. Dave knows what I’m sayin!

Perfectly cooked with incredible crust. All around excellent pizza. Great sauce and cheese. Perfect pepperoni.

8.2——Excellent pizza. All the ingredients come together to make a very hearty and satisfying slice. The sauce is great and very tangy (would prefer less salt and a little more sweetness though). The basil flavor shines without overpowering the other ingredients. Slight coal flavor in the dough is nice, but it could be more pronounced. A saltier dough would also add more flavor. Lastly, I liked the cheese, but there was a bit too much and not enough sauce. The mozzarella was perhaps a little bland, and there was a strong Parmesan flavor in there (which I felt was a bit too strong). Overall though, it’s a very fresh and flavorful pie, and it was very enjoyable.

Price of a typically NY Manhattan pizza. Too bad we couldn’t eat inside due to restrictions.

Sauce is rich and light I flavor if that makes sense in a tomato sauce.

Great classic margherita pizza - the crust is not too thick and not too thin and it has a great balance of cheese/sauce on it.
