Brooklyn Char

Very little flop. Crust is fantastic. And that’s a huge component of a great pizza. But imo, that’s where it ends. Nothing else stood out. No flavor from the sauce and that’s had to be the most mild mozzarella I’ve ever tasted. The flavor profile is borderline non existent.

I loved almost everything about this pizza. I did ask for it to be cooked well done it came out perfect. The only thing I didn’t like was chunks of tomato in the sauce, not a ton but still chunks. I would’ve scored it higher if not for the chunks. Don’t pass this one up if you’re in the area.

Had high hopes after the Portnoy review. We love char and this one may have been over charred a bit. I should’ve loved this and I’m not sure why I didn’t. Maybe the basil? Maybe the inside dining affected it? Maybe I was mad that their tomato pie we ordered as well is not really a tomato pie and my lactose free daughter didn’t get to eat. Very expensive. Top 5 in Indy .. probably. Ugh. Why didn’t this blow me away? It’s everything I usually like. Wouldn’t drive the 45 minutes for it again.

Half pepperoni, half Bee sting. The wife said 8.9. I said 8.4. So we met in the middle at 8.6.

Hands down only pizza I will get from now on in the area! Undercarriage was spot on. No where in the area comes close! I live within 15 min. But I would drive over an hour for this!

Excellent crust, good undercarriage, almost zero flop. Sauce has really good flavor, love the crisp on the pepperonis, cheese tastes fresh, just wish there was a little more mozzarella to put it over the top

Great pizza!! Liked everything about it. Tried the Bee Sting & a pepperoni and sausage. Really enjoyed the bee sting!! Garlic knots were good also.

This pizza is just great. Simple shop. The dough is tremendous and the char/crunch is on point. Only wish it had a bit more char on top (the undercarriage is money). This is the standard pepperoni. This is my new Sunday football spot. Highly highly recommend

Had this a few times. Just a basic cheese. Very good crisp, great flavors and overall a one of a kind spot in the area.

Went this past May. I really wanted to like this. Nice color on the undercarriage. From everything I’ve read about this place I am sure this is a thoroughly researched and tested dough recipe, but you can see the cheese is not cooked, creating a very soggy slice. Also, WAY too heavy on the Parmesan post bake. The Bee Sting was better than the cheese and pepperoni pies we got. A lot of potential here if they lay off the parm and get a more even bake on the cheese. May be a QC problem with the preppers. For now a 6.4.

Crazy that you can get this in Indiana. Incredible pizza. Crisp, undercarriage and cheese. A little more sauce brings the score up

Finally real NY style pizza in Indiana. Limited selection. I had the onion and mushroom. Zero flop, great crisp, good sauce. Will definitely be my go to Pizza
