Underrated cheese pizza and the best east coast style in Lincoln Park. Love their cheese and it’s cooked just right. Their cheese tastes way better than their pizza with toppings, and if you’re in the mood, try their meatball sub. It’s amazing.

From a first glance Cafe Luigi has the appearance of an east coast pizza. The bottom could be cooked a bit longer. Solid hold but a bit too much flop. Very greasy due to the cheese dominant pie. We noticed it was lacking flavor due to the scarcity of tomato sauce. Mostly cheese bread. Pepperoni was not flavorful or crispy. a bit overpriced for the product

Decent crisp. The sauce was really good but there wasn’t much of it. A lot of cheese and not much flavor there. Not a bad slice place but just missing some more crisp and sauce.

My pic is cold. I had put it in the fridge. This is good NY style pizza in Chicago. I prefer it left over, heated up in a skillet, so the crust gets crispy, with crushed red pepper. The pizza just lacks a bit of flavor for me. A tiny bit of garlic salt or even more development in the sauce and this would be a 7+ score. The crust is good. I just want more crisp.

The best New York slice in Chicago. This place blows Jimmy’s out of the water. You really taste the tomatoes when you take a bite.

They do a great job heating it up and the crust is actually pretty good. Crispy on the outside soft inside. The rest is flavorless garbage. If I hadnt gotten pepperoni and added pepper flakes, there would have been no flavor. This is clearly meant to be a late night spot but I can't imagine this being good if I was blacked out. Only reason to eat is if it's the difference between alcohol poisoning and a bad hangover

I'd like to preface. If you've read my other pizza reviews, you know I do not like crumbled Italian sausage whatsoever. I apologize for my ignorance when I ordered it here. I'd like to give this place 2 stars because I do not believe crumbled sausage has a place on any pizza, but had I not ordered it and just pepperoni, I'm giving it a 3 at best. This is a NY style little spot and pumps out slices. I ordered a pepperoni and Italian sausage Neapolitan thin crust pizza. There was nothing wrong with it, but lacked any standout points. The flavor was boring and forgettable, but nothing was necessarily executed wrongly. I did enjoy the crust. It was just slightly less thin than true NY style, but still has a great fold. The sauce was scarce and had little flavor. There was a good amount of cheese and other toppings. I will echo what I said in my other reviews and above; crumbled sausage tastes dry and gritty on a pizza. It does not have an appealing texture. If you like it, all the power to you; not for me though. I'd probably throw this into the category of great drunk pizza. Convenient slices, greasy, cheesey, and ample size. I'll probably try it again if I'm walking past and grab a pepperoni slice only, but I won't go out of my way given there a few other much better NY style slices close in the area.
