Tricky review here guys. Is this really pizza or nah? Someone would argue it’s a pizza pot pie, which I’d tend to agree. However, it doesn’t take away from how delicious this is and that pizza lovers need to experience it. To start, I didn’t alter anything from the original recipe. I ordered it straight up. I’m not a mushroom guy, but they are such a big part of the dish, you have to consider it. It honesty didn’t bother me one bit though. The lowdown is it’s whole mushrooms (3 to 4) as the base, a meat sauce, and brick cheese. It’s a fork a knife dish, but the flavor is just incredible. It’s as savory as it gets. Once cut open, it’s a sloppy mess of food all over your plate. If you like deep dish, you’re not stranger how to attack a beast like this. It’s a bucket list spot you have to experience if you love pizza.
Pro tip: if you show up earlier before their listed hours, sometimes they’ll let you in and serve you. It sure beats coming after their posted hours and having to wait with the peasants for an hour+.
