Review from last March. I’ve finally completed the trinity of Connecticut pizza Bros!!! My second or third annual March Madness Foodievacation tips off at Christo’s Pizza Bar in Wallingford Ct with one of the best pepperoni pizzas since getting into “the lifestyle”. Since 2006 Christo’s has remained a relative hidden gem despite hi profile reviews and massive local acclaim offering New Haven style apizza that would be right at home on Wooster Street. On to the pizz, this one’s not on the one bite ap so you get the privy of a more in waist deep review. The crust is thin, charred and perfectly well done with crisp first bite to last and holds up firm even with this style of cut and toppings. The sauce has an intense funk to it in the best way I’m assuming with the aid of hard cheese and the mozz on top has the “bite” you look for in a pie from this region, ad the roni cups and you have the perfect storm as each bite was a deep breath experience with an abundance of flavor. No doubt one of the elite pizzas of the region deserving the same respect as the Wooster Street legends with the Constanti family having their own trio of top tier pizzerias. Day one is down with one hell of a pizzadventure, the road to 1000 miles continues tomorrow!
